Cheaters are you a Victim?
58Let me begin by saying that although I am a private investigator I have an understanding of some of the emotions that are involved in a cheating situation. Lets not go over them at this time suffice it to say that you have experienced a point in time that is causing you pain,grief,anger or resentment.
You are trying to deal with what has happened or what you think may be happening to you. It is essential to understand relationships and how they affect your thoughts and feelings about yourself. Stop right here and understand that it is, or was a relationship that involves another person and their treatment or thoughts about you. It is time now to repair and rebuild your ego and concentrate on what can make you feel better about yourself.
Bypass thinking about this relationship that may be over and deal with who your are and your thoughts about yourself. NOT what others may think about you.
In other words you need to find yourself! Notice the values that are within yourself. Face the fact that you must learn to like yourself. Yes, the ultimately goal is to start loving yourself for who YOU are.
Try to get in touch with your feelings about yourself!
Ask yourself these questions.
Write them down on a list you can look at and review everyday. Thes questions help define your goals. Make the list with the thought that anything is possible. Because ultimatly it is if you desire it enough. You have a new opportunity and you are in control of your destiny.
Who am I?
What would I like to do now?
What are your good qualities?
What you have achieved or would still like to achieve?
Where are you going in life or where would you like to go?
Professionally - Ask yourself if you would like to pursue studies and go to school to do something different in your life. Change your job or your career.
Personally - Would you like to travel or move to a different country, city, or a different part of the same city?
Where can I go to meet new people and stop being alone and isolated?
Physically - What about your health? Should you start a workout schedule play tennis, golf, bowl or try some other sport?
What else is important in your life to you that you should work towards.
How can you improve the conditions of your life?
This is by no means a complete list of things you can do to make yourself feel better about who you are and I am sure others can post some good thoughts about dealing with some low self esteem and rebuilding confidence in yourself.
I just had a case here Fort Lauderdale Florida where a person was cheating and I sent the case reports to them in South Carolina and did not here back from them. I wrote them an email and asked how they were doing and they replied that they were contemplating suicide.
I immediately replied back with a few suggestions and they were so thrilled that they taped it to the bathroom mirror so they could see it every morning upon waking. I realized then they needed some help right away to redirect the way they were thinking about life.
I feel confident that once a person starts concentrating on themselves and not hanging onto a fantasy of a relationship that had gone wrong after 25 years of marriage they will be a lot better off.
